Stable NQ is one of Townsville’s most loved Christmas traditions, bringing the whole community together in celebration. For nearly thirty years, this free, family-friendly festival has combined creativity, storytelling, music, food, and live entertainment to create a joyful experience for all ages.
Each year more than 30,000 people attend Stable NQ, making it a premier tourist attraction and one of the largest Christmas events in North Queensland. Families, visitors and locals gather as the city comes alive with connection, celebration and Christmas spirit.
Stable NQ is made possible through the collaboration of local churches, the Townsville City Council, schools, businesses, volunteers and community organisations, all working together to create a memorable Christmas experience.
Stable NQ awakens hearts to the wonder of Christmas, building community and fostering generosity and belonging. It’s a place where families and friends come together to celebrate and experience the joy and hope of the season.

Stable NQ is a Not-For-Profit Christian organisation made up of 600+ volunteers from across Townsville. Annually we partner with churches, businesses, government, schools and organisations to run one of Townsville’s most loved premier Christmas tourist attractions.
