The Stable goes back to its roots

The Stable goes back to its roots.

Over the last 21 years ‘Stable on the Strand’ has been on a journey.

  • We began as ‘The Stable’ at a Church in Mt Louisa (1999 - 2001 which are not included in our 21 years)

  • We became ‘Stable on the Strand’ when the Townsville City Council invited us to move to the foreshores of Townsville on Strand Park (2002 – 2019)

  • We ran ‘Stable on Palm’ for 3 years as well as Stable on the Strand (Palm Island 2012 – 2014)

  • Covid took us to create ‘Stable on the Streets’ (2020)

  • And last year we became ‘Stable at Riverway’ (2021)

Stable’s Event Manager, Anne Harley said “It seems that the time is right to rebrand and go back to our original name ‘The Stable’ to give us flexibility and prevent confusion as we move into the future. You will see changes to our logo (see above), our website, emails and social media but we are still the North Queensland Christmas Festival. ‘The Stable’ will continue to bring a gift of fun, life and hope, that will strengthen families and the community, as we present the story of Christmas to the people of Townsville.”

Please help us spread the word about this change of name and branding Attached is our new logo, feel free to use this when communicating about The Stable events.
